    C400 Quick Start Guide

This white board animation contains instructions and information on how to unpack and setup the C400 UPS system from CertaUPS, including display status and alarm settings.

When taking the UPS out of the box for the first time:

Allow the UPS to reach ambient temperature before turning on

The UPS needs to be fully charged to achieve full autonomy

Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight, excessive heat, excessive humidity or in contact with fluids

Allow for 20cm space around the unit

    Step 1

Connect the UPS output to the critical equipment. The connection is between on of the C13 output sockets on the rear of the UPS and the input socket of the critical equipment.

    Step 2

Connect the C400 UPS to a mains power supply.

The UPS LCD screen will illuminate and the UPS status will show ‘bYPA’, this means that the UPS will now be charging in bypass mode.

    Step 3

Press and hold the power button for longer than 3 second to turn the C400 UPS on. The ups will turn on and the status display will show ‘LINE’. This means that the UPS will now support the load from the critical equipment during a mains power failure.

    Step 4

Check the UPS display for active alarms or notices and resolve. The alarm can be silenced by pressing the ON/silence button for 1 second.

    To power off the UPS

Press and hold the power off button for longer than 3 seconds, the UPS display will show ‘bYPA’ and will be in bypass mode. To turn the UPS off and remove the mains power supply to fully power off the UPS.

IF the C300R is a ‘C’ model or you want to achieve a greater autonomy, an external battery module (EBM) is required. The EBM should be connected first and can be installed in either the tower or rack position.
