    C400R Quick Start Guide

This white board animation contains instructions and information on how to unpack and setup the C400R UPS system from CertaUPS, including display status and alarm settings.

When taking the UPS out of the box for the first time:

Allow the UPS to reach ambient temperature before turning on

The UPS needs to be fully charged to achieve full autonomy

Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight, excessive heat, excessive humidity or in contact with fluids

Allow for 20cm space around the unit

    Before you start

This series of UPS can be placed both horizontally and vertically. If the C400R is being placed horizontally in a rack, the LCD display can be rotated 90 degrees.

    Step 1

Connect the UPS output to the critical equipment. The connection is between on of the C13 output sockets on the rear of the UPS and the input socket of the critical equipment.

    Step 2

Connect the C400R UPS to a mains power supply.

The UPS LCD screen will illuminate and the UPS status will show a line with a triangle, this means that the UPS will now be charging in bypass mode. The UPS does not provide a backup function when it is in bypass mode and will beep once every 2 minutes.

    Step 3

Press and hold the power button for longer than 3 second to turn the C400R UPS on. The ups will turn on and the status display will show a standby symbol. This means that the UPS will now support the load from the critical equipment during a mains power failure.

    Step 4

Check the UPS display for active alarms or notices and resolve. The alarm can be silenced by pressing the power button for 1 second.

    To power off the UPS

Press and hold the power button for longer than 3 seconds, the UPS display will show the line with a triangle and will be in standby mode. To turn the UPS off and remove the mains power supply to fully power off the UPS.

IF the C400R is a ‘C’ model or you want to achieve a greater autonomy, an external battery module (EBM) is required. The EBM should be connected first and can be installed in either the tower or rack position.
